THE FUTURE IS HERE:

STEAM REACHES TRANSPORT

Yesterday, 15th September The railway line between Liverpool and Manchester was inaugurated as the steam locomotive had been perfected and was already successful.

How does it work?
The steam locomotive follows a complex system , but in few words: heated water turns into a invisible vapor known as steam . The volume of water increases as it turns into steam inside the boiler and it creates high pressure. The expansion of steam pushes the pistons that connect to the driving wheels that operate the locomotive.
The Rocket

"The Rocket"
The railway engine that head this railway line is ''The Rocket'' an invention of the engineer Robert Stephenson designed and made by his company Robert Stephenson and Company at Newcastle upon Tyne in 1829. It was one of the first steam locomotives with 0-2-2 wheel arrangement. It was ellected in the  Rainheill Trials  held by the Liverpool and Manchester Railway in October 1829.

You might be thinking , What does it mean ?

The railway is a great advance in technology which will allow us traveling to several destinations way faster than ever before and this will be a very important tool for  commerce all over the world. It will also create  many jobs which will favor the economy in general  and global unemployment will decrease radically thanks to it.

  1. What I liked most about this news is that they have not been complicated to explain the process of the operation of the steam locomotive. Because the newspaper is supposed to be read by citizens who know nothing about the subject. I have noticed that all the groups put more and more links. That is good but I think that in general we are starting to put in too many.

  3. I like this new: Not too long but enough to be clearly eplained.I also like that the end of the new makes allusion to the catchy tittle at the beggining by showing the laboural advantages of this new invention.

  5. I liked how you have separated the news to explain everything, it is a bit short, but with the links and the photos it is good.

  7. I think that this is an excellent article. At first, I've understood very well the first 2 paragraphs that are more technical, and I don't know anything about engeneering, so I think it is a good fact. The paragraph that I've liked the most is the third one, because it is very curious to read a prediction about the future that finally comes true, and I think that the news in general looks authentic as it seems to be a real s. XIX article. Very good!

  8. The format used on this news is sort of unique, the design is engaging and interesting, even in the paper format. The text tells enough to make it all understandable and appealing, but nothing gets confusing or incomplete, it’s really well written.
