CHARLES I DIED IN HIS ATTEMPT TO GOVERN US

This morning, Charles I of England has died at the hands of the Parliamentarians.
They have defeated the Royalists and they have executed the king so, can we consider this as the end of the civil war? Charles has not been raised to rule, but even if he was a bad king, did he deserve to die?

As it was communicated a few days ago Charles I was imprisoned for treason and then he was sentenced to death.
Early on the winter morning, a large crowd of men, women and children gathered on the 'open street before Whitehall '.They had come to witness the execution of their king.There he found two very disguised executioners, a coffin covered in black velvet and a low block of wood.
He put a cap on his head, tucked his long hair underneath and prayed once more with Bishop Juxon,he put his neck on the block and extend the hands as a signal to the manager that he was ready.
With a blow of his ax, the executioner separated the king's head from his body and killed him instantly. One child described how the man's blow was not received with an acclamation, but with "a moan like the one I had never heard, and I wish I would never hear it again".
Everything seems to indicate that a republic will be established in our country under the command of Oliver Cromwell.

This new for me is one of the best I like very much as it is organized the information, has links, in the first where it saids like and for that serves a very nice building in London and another link that send you to a page where tells the biography of Oliver Cromwell. I also like that they have introduced the news with questions and making the reader interested in the news. I didn’t know anything about Charles and I don’t think he should have been killed. I don’t think this new has many bad things and it’s very well done, I liked it very much.

DeleteI really like this news, it explains very well the death of Charles I and you can understand it very well because of the links which add more information and also the ilustrative video where this event is represented. The only thing I do not like is the organization in the paper version, I think the photo is more visible than the information but it also call you attention.

ReplyDeleteThis notice called a lot my attention. I liked the organisation and the detais of the information and I liked the video of Charles’ execution too. All it is really well explained. I think that the article would be a little bit better if you put more photos. I liked so much the design of the paper version and the organisation of its information.

I've really liked this article and I don't see almost anything that I don't like in it. Both the information and the video attached explains perfectly how Charles' execution was. Even having just one photo, it is well chosen and placed. I also like how you have introduced the news with those questiones that make you think and get more interested in the theme. The paper version is also very attractive to the view, as it is very well framed.

It´s a very good article and i like the video because it explains very well the day of the execution. The article is organized and give us a lot of informationof about what happened that day and how was the situation and how the people react.
