THE ATTEMPT ON AMADEO OF SAVOY

Two years after General Prim was killed and our king was left without any political support, Amadeo of Savoy has suffered an attempt on his life last 18th July. It happened in Arenal street in Madrid while he was having a walk. Although he was warned by Mata, who had heard about some people who wanted to kill Amadeo, through his friend Topete, Amadeo refused to change the route.

The king was on his coach with his wife Victoria del Pozo and the General Burgos, and suddenly, some men shot them. Luckily, nothing happened to our king. And the aggressors ran away though the S.Maratín street, when they saw how their attack failed.
In their escape, one of them was shot down.
After this, the inspectors have pointed Prim´s murder have been an atempt of the same characteristics.
And the main question is: who really was behind?
There are too many suspects as he has a lot of enemies. Since Amadeo took the throne through the parliament , so anyone may have reasons to hate him:
-The carlists
-The republicans
-The church (for being the son of the monarch who closed down the papal states)
-The population, didn´t even accept him for his difficulties to learn our language.
Bravely, our fearless king went out the next day to prove he wasn't scare of anything!

Well,is a good new with interesting concepts,but in my opinion Amadeo make a mistake going out that day.

I like this news is short but with enough information, the video I don´t like anything the voice of the man seems to be tired while I count it and it seems a bit strange how is the information placed on both news.

This news is so great! In just a few lines, you have told everything about the attempt, and that is very important because if you write too many things to tell something, the reader will be bored. It is interesting that Amadeo was very stubborn, and even knowing that he was in danger, he did not try to change it by staying at home or by going by a different way. Was his wife injured? And the General Borgos?

For me this article is very well written and the information is very interesting but it is very short.
ReplyDeleteYour news' lead catch my attention, and it made me read more about this. I think the information it's good but it's too short and you can spand it more; you should search more details about this fact. I liked the video and it's really well explained, but it should be better if it is in english. I also like the fact you said about Amadeo (that he was for a walk the day after) because I didn't now it and it seems to me very interesting. I would like to see more pictures of this attempt or more links to have the information extended. You also can improve the layout. The thing I liked the most it is the paper version, because all the information it's clearly organized.

This new is short but have enough information it is very well write(It is write as a new not as an article).I missed a lot some links that extend the information.The video is not bad but i think it is better if you put one on spanish.
ReplyDeleteThe good thing about this article is that has condensed all the information in few lines, something I don´t like a lot is the voice of the video because it´s monotonous and makes me fall asleep.

The news is short but complete, it explains very well the terrible event but I think it needs more links to add more information and understand better the situation. I do not like the monotony of the video, but its information is good,although, it sould be in English. Also you can improve the layout, specially in the paper version.

I think this news has summary very well the theme and in a few lines it has explained a bit and then, if you want to go deeper in the information you can search o the different links wich are very good. The attemp reminds me the murder of General Prim (there is an article about him and his death by The4enlighteners).

It´s a good news with an interesting topic, perhaps it´s a bit short and with lack of links and photos, but it tells very well the attempt and how brave Amadeo was, going out for a walk the next day of the attempt. The paper version is well organized and I like it.

I've really liked your article. It is very well written and catches your attention. I think you could have added more links and I would have also liked to read more about the topic, as the article is too short. However, your news is very interesting and tells lots of things that many of us didn't know, for example, that the next day of Amadeo's attempt to be killed, he went for a walk quietly as if the attack had never happened. The news is brief, besides lacks details that make it more interesting. Links are also missing that help to understand the situation of the attack. The video adds more information but it would be better if it were narrated in English. On other hand, the text and photos are well distributed.

I think that it's better to have little information but well structured than a very long article with useless information. Anyway, it's true that there is a lack of information and links if we compare it with the time we've had for doing the job. Appart from this I think that the information it's good and that it's an interesting article.
